SU5402 is a fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR)-specific tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Multiple myeloma studies suggest that SU 5402 inhibits FGFR3 phosphorylation in vitro. SU5402 is also very potent in inhibiting VEGFR, and PDGFR. Research shows that it inhibits embryonic left-right determination and exhibits potent anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo.
